AFGHANISTAN CRICKETER BRUTALLY MOCKS PAT CUMMINS WITH 'DEFINITELY AUSTRALIA' T20 WC SEMIFINAL PREDICTION
Australia were eliminated from the T20 World Cup 2024 in Super 8, as Afghanistan reached the semifinals at the cost of the Aussies. Afghanistan created history as they defeated Bangladesh by 8 runs to seal their place in the final four alongside India, South Africa and England.
After Australia's defeat to Afghanistan and India in the Super 8 stage, the Aussies were hoping for a helping hand from Bangladesh. Had Bangladesh won against Afghanistan, Australia would have qualified for the semifinals, courtesy of their superior Net Run Rate over the Afghans.
As fate would have it, Afghanistan won, pipping Australia to the fourth and final semifinal spot. After the historic win from Afghanistan, Pat Cummins was brutally mocked on social media by Najibullah Zadran.

Cummins, having led Australia to ODI World Cup glory, as well as a win in the World Test Championship 2023 final, predicted that Australia would 'definitely' qualify for the top four.
That's not all, Cummins asked the anchor that they can pick the remaining three teams.
"Definitely Australia. And then you can choose which three you want," was Cummins' response, when asked about the possible semi-final candidates for the T20 World Cup.
As fate would have it, Australia did not make it into the semifinals, while Afghanistan had the last laugh. Cummins was thus trolled by Zadran for his statement.
After Afghanistan's win, Najib tweeted, "Q :How is the top 4 semi-finalist? A : definitely Australia other 3 you choose," as he mocked the Australian ODI and Test skipper.

En route to qualifying for the T20 World Cup semifinal, Afghanistan had defeated New Zealand in the group stages, before they tamed Australia in the Super 8 stage.
Furthermore, Afghanistan also overcame Bangladesh in a dramatic match that had rain, plenty of action, anger and a lot more, eventually they were able to keep their nerve to secure a historic 8-run win and move into the semifinals.
Rashid Khan and Co. will face South Africa in Semifinal 1, whereas India will lock horns with England in Semifinal 2, with both matches scheduled for June 27.
