It was a historic day in Mumbai on Thursday as the entire city came together to celebrate India's monumental T20 World Cup triumph. With Rohit Sharma and his teammates due to take part in a victory parade which was scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM IST, fans had already started assembling at Marine Drive from the afternoon.
It was a stellar night, full of emotions as the Indian players took part in the victory parade, and then made their way to the Wankhede Stadium to celebrate the T20 World Cup win. During the celebrations, the Men in Blue also did a victory lap to thank the fans for their support.
The Indian team sang 'Vande Mataram' in unison with the fans in what proved to be a goosebumps-inducing moment. However, as the players were singing, one of the fans decided to throw his t-shirt at Hardik Pandya.

The Indian vice-captain had endured plenty of boos and jeers while playing for Mumbai Indians at the same venue not so long ago, but he silenced his critics with stellar performances during the T20 World Cup. The star all-rounder was aware of the t-shirt being thrown at him as he showed good reflexes to catch the same.
Pandya kept walking and singing in jubilation, but watching his gesture, Jasprit Bumrah couldn't help but burst out in laughter.
