HARDIK PANDYA POSTS A SUBTLE MESSAGE FOR WANKHEDE CROWD AHEAD OF INDIA'S T20 WC VICTORY PARADE

Hardik Pandya's redemption story is something that will be remembered and it will serve as a piece of motivation for many generations to come. The Indian vice-captain had a horrific stunt as the Mumbai Indians skipper in IPL 2024. Hardik replacing Rohit Sharma as the main man of MI made him a victim of boos that went on till the time he played in blue and gold. Things became even worse for Pandya when he played at the Wankhede. But just like that, the tables have turned and Hardik is now returning to the same venue as a World Champion.

India beat South Africa on June 29, 2024, to clinch the T20 World Cup for the second time and it was Hardik Pandya, who bowled the final over and saved 16 runs required by the Proteas to win. The 'men in blue' reached India on July 4, 2024, and will participate in a victory parade that starts at the Mumbai Airport and ends at the Wankhede. Before the start of the victory parade, Hardik posted a picture on his X account, which could be seen as a jibe at the Wankhede crowd.

PM Modi Meets Team India

The original plan for Rohit and Co. to reach India was on July 30, 2024, but Hurricane Beryl halted it for a few days. Four days after winning the coveted T20 trophy, the 'Men in Blue' arrived in the Indian subcontinent and Delhi warmly welcomed them with a rousing reception. The Indian cricket team then left for 7 Lok Kalyan Marg to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The players then had breakfast and grouped up for quick pictures, after which they left for Mumbai.

India's Iconic Victory At Barbados

India created history in the recently concluded ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The 'Men in Blue' made the entire nation proud by winning the coveted T20 silverware by defeating South Africa in the finals. India are now only the third team after England (2010 & 2022) and West Indies (2012 & 2016) to win the T20 World Cup for the second time. Not just India, this victory also marks a special milestone for Rohit Sharma. Rohit is the only cricketer to win the T20 World Cup as a player and as a skipper.
