ROHIT SHARMA GOES WILD MID-AIR, VIRAT KOHLI CAN'T TAKE HIS EYES OFF WORLD CUP TROPHY IN BCCI VIDEO

It's celebration time in India as Rohit Sharma-led World Cup winners return home. The Men in Blue created history and won the T20 World Cup 2024, defeating South Africa in the final. India had a great campaign and won the tournament undefeated, ending the long wait for the ICC trophy. The team's homecoming was delayed by a few days due to tropical storm Beryl, however, that did not affect the mood of the players who are having the best time of their lives.

The BCCI posted a video of team India's return journey from Barbados to New Delhi where captain Rohit Sharma along with the Indian team can be seen having a lot of fun in the aircraft. In the video, captain Rohit Sharma goes wild while Virat Kohli passionately looks at the World Cup trophy.

Meanwhile, team India landed in Delhi in the early hours of Thursday where the Men in Blue got a grand reception by the fans. The Indian team is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi today before flying out to Mumbai where team India will take out a victory parade. The open bus parade will start at Nariman Point and will finish at the Wankhede Stadium where a special event has been organised. Rohit Sharma will hand over the T20 World Cup trophy to BCCI secretary Jay Shah during the event.
