Defending champions India will open their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on July 19 in the Women's T20 Asia Cup to be held in Dambulla, Sri Lanka. India were scheduled to open their campaign against the UAE, but they will take on Pakistan first before facing the UAE on July 21 in the updated schedule.
The Asia Cup will be held from July 19 to 28 in Dambulla and will feature 8 teams for the first time in the history of the tournament.
Defending champions India have been drawn in Group A alongside Pakistan, Nepal and the UAE. The other group features Bangladesh, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Only 7 teams featured in the 2022 edition of the tournament, which was held after a postponement due to Covid-19 pandemic.

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals to be held on July 26 while the final is scheduled for July 28.
