ROHIT SHARMA 'THE WORLDWIDE SENSATION': RIC FLAIR RECREATES INDIAN CAPTAIN'S WORLD CUP WINNING CELEBRATION - WATCH

Rohit Sharma-led Team India conquered South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024 final, as they got their hands on the elusive trophy at last after a gap of 17 years. India won the inaugural T20 World Cup crown in 2007 but despite coming close in recent years, the World Cup trophy evaded the Men in Blue.

However, the Indian team were able to pick up a nail-biting win over South Africa in Barbados thereby ending the wait of more than a decade to win an ICC trophy with the last one being the Champions Trophy in 2013.

When the Indian team lined up to collect the T20 World Cup trophy, skipper Rohit Sharma's iconic dance moves broke the internet. Many fans believed that Rohit had taken a leaf out of Lionel Messi's notebook, recreating the celebration Messi did after Argentina won the FIFA World Cup in 2022 in Qatar.
