India's emphatic performance against England in the T20 World Cup 2024 semi-final led to a war of words on Twitter, with Michael Vaughan expressing his frustrations and Ravichandran Ashwin delivering a witty retort.

"India thoroughly deserve to be in the final. The best team in the tournament so far. Was always going to be hard for England on this pitch. India just so much better on lower, slower spinning pitches," Vaughan tweeted, acknowledging India's superiority while subtly lamenting England's difficulties.
Ashwin, known for his sharp wit, responded with a humorous and intellectual tweet, "∫ 1 dx = x + C. ∫ a dx = ax + C. ∫ xⁿ dx = ((xⁿ⁺¹)/(n+1)) + C; n ≠ 1. Hence, India won," blending calculus with cricket to underline India's victory in a playful yet pointed manner.
India showcased their immense talent with a dominant 68-run victory over England. Rohit Sharma led from the front with an aggressive 57 off 39 balls, supported by Suryakumar Yadav's 47 off 36, helping India post 171 for seven in a rain-affected match.
In response, England crumbled, managing only 103 in 16.4 overs. India's bowlers capitalized on the conditions, setting up a title clash with first-time finalists South Africa in Barbados on Saturday. This victory marks India's third entry into the tournament's final, reaffirming their prowess on the world stage.

The Indian team thus exacted revenge for the crushing 10-wicket loss it endured against the defending champions in the 2022 semifinal of the mega-event at the Adelaide Oval.
In the process, Rohit became the first Indian captain to lead the country in three ICC global finals in a space of 12 months -- 2023 World Test Championship, 2023 ODI World Cup and now the T20 World Cup.
